Daniel Jones needs to protect himself more
There’s no doubt that Daniel Jones’ long run against the Washington Football Team last weekend was impressive, but the New York Giants’ quarterback needs to protect himself more when he runs with the football. Aside from the big run, he took way to many hits when he decided to tuck the football away and run with it.
Giants’ head coach Joe Judge told Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network that he would like Jones to stop taking so many hits when he takes off with the football.
The last thing the Giants need is for Jones to get hurt and then Colt McCoy has to come in and play. Which is why Jones needs to play for cautiously when running the ball. Don’t forget , he got injured late last season and Eli Manning had to come back and started their final two games of the season.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Jones avoids big hits during the Giants’ Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
