Saquon Barkley will have to wait a little longer for surgery
New York Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley is still waiting to under knee surgery to repair his torn ACL and it looks like he’ll have to continue to wait to go under the knife.
The reason for the delay to Barkley’s surgery is the World Series bubble down in Arlington, Texas. He has to wait for the World Series to end because his doctor, Dr. Neal ElAttrache, is also the team doctor for the Los Angeles Dodgers and is currently in the bubble and of course cannot leave until either the Dodgers or the Tampa Bay Rays win the title.
The reason Barkley had to initially wait for surgery is due to the swelling in his knee, but now it looks like it’s gone down enough for the surgery to take place and he only has to wait for his doctor.
Right now, Barkley is expected to be healthy in time for the opening of next year’s training camp in July after suffering the injury against the Chicago Bears on September 20th.
