The Giants are getting better, believe it or not
The New York Giants choked big time against the Philadelphia Eagles this past Thursday night after being up by 11 points with under six minutes left in the game. Of course as you know by now Philly came back and defeated the Giants 22-21.
There are many reasons the Giants lost, from tight end Evan Engram’s dropped pass to penalties against the Giants’ defense due to sloppy play.
Despite the collapse, Brian Baldinger of the NFL Network was able to find some positives for the Giants. The first thing he broke down was the impressive 97 yard touchdown drive that the Giants put together. He pointed out the great blocking from their offensive line, but also made it clear why rookie left tackle Andrew Thomas has been struggling.
In the video below, Baldy says the Giants are getting close and I agree with him. They played great for most of this game against the Eagles, until the final few minutes.
Beldinger also broke down quarterback Daniel Jones’ biggest play of the season that was also his biggest blunder after he tripped himself up.
I love the oil reference, but it’s true. Jones looked back too many times and thank goodness they still scored on the drive.
