The Giants need some help at receiver
With the NFL trade deadline a week away, there are a couple of players that I wouldn’t mind seeing the New York Giants make a move for. I know what you’re thinking, the Giants shouldn’t be buyers right now, they should be sellers with a 1-6 record. But just hear me out.
WR Adam Thielen
Let’s be honest, not only is the Giants’ offensive line an issue, but the fact that they don’t have a true number one receiver is hurting second-year quarterback Daniel Jones.
Yes, Golden Tate is good, but he’s past his prime and Darius Slayton isn’t ready to be a go to receiver on a consistent basis. So, what the Giants need to do is work out a deal for Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver Adam Thielen.
With the Vikings ready to sell off some of their players, they should be open to make a deal for Thielen. I know the Giants want to keep tight end Evan Engram, but a swap for Thielen would be a much better move for them.
LB Jarrad Davis
Yeah, I know the Giants’ defense is very good for being a 1-6 team, but Davis hasn’t been getting very many snaps since falling out of favor in Detroit with the Lions.
The 25 year-old Davis wouldn’t cost the Giants much with his snaps down to 33 percent on the season. The former first round picked racked up over 90 tackles in the both the 2017 and 2018 seasons, so it’s obvious that he can play at a high level and could make the Giants’ defense even stronger.
