The Giants’ schedule is horrible
Yes, I know this season has been brutal for the New York Giants with a record of 1-6 as they prepare for a Monday night match-up against Tom Brady and the 5-2 Tamp bay Buccaneers. But I think there are many reasons for Big Blue’s bad season.
John Schmeelk of WFAN posted some stats that show just how difficult the Giants schedule has been this season and it’s not going to get any easier.
Let’s face it, a team with a second-year quarterback and an offensive line that can’t pass protect is a recipe for disaster. Also factor in that opposing defenses can’t respect the Giants’ running game without Saquon Barkley and it’s a recipe for a disaster.
Aside from the offensive line issues and Barkley going down, the Giants don’t have a true number one receiver with Golden Tate past his prime. There’s just not much strength to their offense right now.
All Giants’ fans can hope for at this point is for the offensive line to get better as the season moves on into the final eight games.
