Giants have to grab Trevor Lawrence if they can
With an up and down 2020 season so far for second-year New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones, Big Blue may want to think about taking Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence if they’re presented with the opportunity.
Johnathan Jones of CBS Sports spoke with people around the NFL like current and former executives, scouts and agents about who they think would pass up on Lawrence in next year’s NFL Draft and the belief is that only teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals would pass on him.
So this means that of course the Giants are one of many many teams that would draft Lawrence if they end up with the top pick. And if that happens they would have to take him. Looking at the rest of the Giants’ schedule they could very well end up with the top pick.
Right now Lawrence is dealing with COVID-19 and will hopefully bounce back and be able to finish the college football season strong prior to April’s draft.
