JPP is ready to rip the Giants apart
When the New York Giants traded defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March of 2018 for a third and fourth round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, many people, including myself thought he was washed up.
One of those picks was used on defensive tackle BJ Hill and the other pick, the fourth rounder was traded away on draft day.
Two years later and it’s apparent that JPP is not washed up like many of us thought. He has 5.5 sacks already this season and is a part of a very good defense in Tampa. With the Bucs facing the Giants this coming Monday night he’s looking for revenge.
“I’m comin for their (the Giants) necks. They know that,” JPP told reporters on Friday.
Pierre-Paul had 12.5 sacks in 2018 and 8.5 last season. It’s obvious he can still be a force as a pass rusher in the NFL. He’s made it clear that he wants to show the Giants he’s not washed up.
I totally expect JPP and the Bucs’ defense to give the Giants poor offensive line a hard time on Monday night and I think Pierre-Paul will get some revenge at MetLife Stadium. It’s clear that a change of scenery has been good for him as a player.
