Would John Ross be a good fit for the Giants?
The New York Giants could use some help at the wide receiver position and it looks like a pretty good one wants a trade out of Cincinnati in John Ross of the Bengals.
Ross posted a tweet on Friday that he has requested to be moved prior to this Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline.
“It’s not a secret that I have requested a trade,” Ross wrote on Twitter. “Trade me if this how y’all feel. I’m healthy and eager to play. I know I can be productive. It’s hard to love something when your (sic) not actually participating in it. Believe me, its (sic) not football that I don’t like.”
The Bengals took Ross with the ninth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of the University of Washington and he drew the attention of many teams with his 4.22 speed in the forty-yard dash.
The biggest problem for Ross during his career so far is the fact that he hasn’t been able to stay healthy and only has 71 receptions for 733 yards and 10 touchdowns in three seasons.
Ross is an exciting player, but he reminds me of Sinorice Moss. A player with a lot of speed that just couldn’t produce on a consistent level in the NFL. Now Ross might have more potential because injuries have gotten in his way, but trading for him wouldn’t be a wise move for the Giants especially with him set to hit the open market as a free agent this coming offseason.
