Will Golden Tate play against Washington?
New York Giants’ wide receiver Golden Tate didn’t practice on Wednesday after he was sent home for his selfish behavior during this past Monday night’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Giants’ head coach Joe Judge made it clear that Tate’s actions won’t be tolerated and the good news is that he was back on the practice field on Thursday ahead of Big Blue’s game against the Washington Football Team this coming Sunday. But what’s interesting is that Tate didn’t run with the starting offense and was instead with the scout team.
It’s going to be interesting to see whether or not Tate practices with the starters on Friday and even whether he plays this Sunday against Washington. The Giants are 1-7 and are no longer in the race for the NFC East and a spot for the playoffs, so having Tate sit out wouldn’t be a big deal.
Judge has done a great job of leading this Giants team and not allowing Tate to get away with lashing out shows that he’s the right guy for the job and is the leader that this organization needs on the field.
