Another player to injured reserve for the Giants
The New York Giants announced on Friday that they’ve placed defensive back Ryan Lewis on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.. He will be eligible to return in three weeks. So far this season he has recorded 13 total tackles and one pass defended.
Issac Yiadom started in place of Lewis against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played pretty well so they should be in good shape with Lewis out. The 24 year-old Yiadom has 17 tackles and two passes defended so far this season for Big Blue.
The Giants can also activate defensive back Brandon Williams from injured reserve after he returned to practice last week. So they do have some reinforcements. New York now has two empty roster spots, one can go to Williams and another can go to wide receiver Dante Pettis, who they just claimed off waivers.
The Giants will try and get their second win of the season this coming Sunday against the Washington Football Team. The good news is that they defeated them a few weeks ago to get their first victory of the season. Then again they were fortunate that Washington decided to go for a two point conversion instead of kicking an extra point and sending the game into overtime.
