Leonard Williams is putting together a nice season for the Giants
The New York Giants are officially halfway through the 2020 NFL as they sit with a 1 -7 record at the bottom of the NFC East.
So far, the highest rated player on the Giants through eight games, according to Pro Football Focus, is defensive lineman Leonard Williams.
Williams has been earning his $16.1 million paycheck this season with four sacks, 25 tackles and 24 quarterback pressures so far in 2020.
The Giants are going to have a tough decision to make this coming offseason when it comes to Williams, if he stays on pace and finishes with eight sacks, 50 tackles and 48 quarterback pressures. Will New York pay him? if so, how much will they be willing to give the 26 year-old?
If the Giants don’t keep Williams, how will they make up for his production in 2021? They will have to sign a free agent or use a high draft pick on a defensive lineman within the first few rounds of next year’s draft.
