Looks like Golden Tate will be back this week
New York Giants’ wide receiver Golden Tate was held out of this past Sunday’s win over the Washington Football Team after his selfish actions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the week before.
Giants’ head coach Joe judge was asked on Monday whether Tate will play and said that he expects him to be active.
It looks like as long as Tate stays in line, he will play Sunday. We will of course know more when practice kicks off this week and we get to see whether he’s on the scout team or not like he was last week.
Tate’s a good player, but with undrafted rookie Austin Mack hauling in four grabs for over 70 yards against Washington, New York may not need the veteran if he continues to wear out his welcome.
The Giants’ offense overall played very well against a very good Washington defense. But having Tate back would certainly help New York because if they can get a win over the Eagles, and that’s a big if, they will be back in the playoff hunt.
