Daniel Jones needs help at the receiver position
I’ve already presented why i believe fans are a little too hard on New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones. I’ve found another reason why people are too hard on Jones.
Pro Football Focus pointed out that the Giants have the highest drop rate in the NFL at 6.9 percent.
When looking at the stats for dropped passes this season, the Giants are tied for second in the NFL with 13 through nine games. The Dallas Cowboys actually lead the NFL with 20.
We already know that one player in particular that has hurt the Giants with dropped passes is tight end Evan Engram who dropped one earlier in the season that would have given New York a win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He also dropped an easy pass that he should have caught against the Washington Football Team this past Sunday.
Once again, people love ripping Jones, but don’t forget his receivers aren’t helping him much this season with all of the dropped passes. This just supports the argument that the talent around him isn’t great and could affect his development.
