Tae Crowder close to a return
On Wednesday the New York Giants announced that they’ve designated rookie linebacker Tae Crowder to return from injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury against the Washington Football Team back in week six.
So right now Crowder will practice this week with the team, but likely will not play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. He still needs to be activated from injured reserve, which will likely happen after their week 11 bye. But if the Giants do activate him for this week’s game, they will have to release someone from their 53-man roster in order to make room.
Crowder, an undrafted rookie out of Georgia has made the most of the snaps he’s gotten this season and has carved out a small role for himself.
The Giants just activated both wide receiver Dante Pettis and offensive lineman Will Hernandez on Tuesday after releasing cornerback Corey Ballentine, so it will be interesting to see what move they make when Crowder is rady to return from IR.
