Giants have their work cut out for them against the Eagles
The New York Giants have a big game despite a 2-7 record. With a win over the Philadelphia Eagles they will be back in the hunt to win the division.
Here are three players to watch this Sunday:
Eagles WR Travis Fulgham
Fulgham had a big night against the Giants a few weeks ago as he hauled in five receptions on 11 targets for 73 yards. He was a big reason why the Eagles were able to pull out a big win over the Giants and secure their first place lead in the NFC East early on in the season.
Since then we’ve seen the Giants give up big plays to opposing receivers. As long as they stick together as a unit and keep playing smart under defensive coordinator Patrick Graham they will figure out how to limit Philly’s big plays.
Giants QB Daniel Jones
Jones finally put together a game against the Washington Football Team this past Sunday without turning the ball over. If he can do that against the Eagles, there’s no doubt in my mind that New York will come away with a win.
I know that’s a lot to ask Jones right now at this point in his career, but we saw how well the Giants do as a team when they don’t turn the ball over. Just re-watch their first half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Giants LT Andrew Thomas
Thomas has been slowly getting better each and every week which is a great sign. He struggled against the Eagles pass rush in week seven. I’m confident that he will bounce back after a pair of good games over the past two weeks.
As a unit we need to keep an eye on the Giants’ young offensive line with guys like Chad Slade, Shane Lemieux and Matt Peart who seem to be improving each and every game like Thomas has.
