Daniel Jones silenced his critics for at least the next two weeks
Despite all of the doubters, New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones was flawless against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon and came through with some huge throws down the stretch to hand his team a 27-17 win.
A day later and Jones was given the highest Pro Football Focus grade of any player on the Giants with an overall grade of 84.2.
Other high offensive grades for the Giants were Kevin Zeitler (77.1), Sterling Shepard (76.6) and Golden Tate (70.5).
Some really bad offensive grades were given to Shane Lemieux with the lowest grade of 40.9 and Andrew Thomas with a 49.7.
On the defensive side of the ball, the highest grade for the Giants was Dexter Lawrence with a 72.5. He ended up with two tackles a sack.
Other high defensive grades were Cam Brown (71.2), James Bradberry (69.5) and Jabrill Peppers with a 69.3.
I’m kind of surprised by Bradberry’s grade given the fact that Carson Wentz’s passer rating when throwing at Bradberry was a 39.6. The Giants’ corner only allowed 15 yards on two catches. His coverage grade from PFF was a 71.7. I really don’t understand where they get these grades from.
The lowest grades for the Giants on defense was Blake Martinez with a 29.3. You can view all of the Giants grades from their win over the Eagles at Big Blue View.
