Giants could end up outside the top ten soon
The New York Giants were in the top five of NFL Draft order for 2021 for most of the season. Now after a big win over the Philadelphia Eagles, they fell to the eighth spot.
Here’s how the current order for next year’s draft looks:
- New York Jets (0-9)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8)
- Dallas Cowboys (2-7)
- Washington Football Team (2-7)
- Los Angeles Chargers (2-7)
- Miami Dolphins (via Houston Texans at 2-7)
- Cincinnati Bengals (2-6-1)
- New York Giants (3-7)
- Carolina Panthers (3-7)
- Atlanta Falcons (3-6)
- Denver Broncos (3-6)
- Minnesota Vikings (3-5)
- San Francisco 49ers (4-6)
- Detroit Lions (4-5)
- New England Patriots (4-5)
- Chicago Bears (5-4)
- Cleveland Browns (6-3)
- Tennessee Titans (6-3)
(Picks 19-32 are held by playoff teams)
The New York Jets are still in the driver seat for Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence and I think it’s safe to say that the Giants will not be in the top five and could end up outside of the top ten if they continue to get better late in the season.
I think the Giants least worry is the quarterback position right now. They need another cornerback, a number one receiver and possibly more offensive and defensive line help. I also have faith that Daniel Jones is the guy.
