Giants came up with creative award for players
During Wednesday’ practice, the New York Giants allowed certain scout team players to wear the names and numbers of legendary players from the organization’s past.
As you can see in the photos below quarterback Clayton Thorson wore number 16 with Frank Gifford’s last name on the back of his jersey. Other players chose Lawrence Taylor and his number 56, Chris Snee with the number 76 and George Martin’s number 75.
I really like how creative the Giants got with this award/recognition. Hopefully it will boost the confidence of some of their scout team players which could in turn inspire them to develop into future starters in the NFL. If I had to guess I would say that his was head coach Joe Judge’s idea. I love the way he has managed this team in his first season.
As a team the Giants’ confidence is rising coming off of two straight wins prior to last week’s bye. They have a game against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday that they shouldn’t have a problem winning.
