Sterling Shepard is one of the keys to the Giants’ offense
New York Giants’ wide receiver Sterling Shepard made an instant impact when he came back from injury back in week seven against the Philadelphia Eagles as he hauled in six catches for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Pro Football Focus says that Shepard is having the best year of his career with a grade of 79.5 so far this season.
I know stats aren’t everything and Shepard has missed a lot of time this season, but his best year was in 2018 when he recorded 66 receptions for 872 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games.
This season, Shepard has 34 receptions for 295 yards and one touchdown in six games so far. As of right now with six games left he’s on pace for 64 receptions for 590 yards and two touchdowns. It wouldn’t be a bad season for missing four games.
With the Giants not having a true number one receiver, quarterback Daniel Jones will have to rely on Shepard who has been his most steady pass catcher.
