Bobby Hart facing his old team
It looks like the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals have more ties than we even realized heading into their week 12 match-up.
We already know that new Bengals’ starting quarterback Brandon Allen has ties to Giants’ assistant coach Bret Bielema, since Bielema coached him at the University of Arkansas.
Now it turns out that former Giants’ offensive lineman Bobby Hart will start for the Cincinnati Bengals and face his old team as well on Sunday.
Hart was taken in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Giants out of Florida State University. And after showing some promise early on he never panned out and left New York in 2018 and signed with the Bengals.
Hart will have to protect Allen who will start in place of rookie quarterback Joe Burrow after he suffered a torn ACL and MCL against the Washington Football Team last Sunday.
The Bengals are in a tough spot offensively without Burrow and star running back Joe Mixon out. Even back-up running back Giovani Bernard is questionable with a concussion. With a 2-7-1 record they’re just trying to finish the season strong in a rebuilding year while New York is hoping to win the NFC East and make the playoffs.
