Alex Tanney will be in Seattle this week with the Giants
When the New York Giants land in Seattle to face-off against the Seahawks on Sunday they will have three quarterbacks on their active roster.
Giants’ head coach Joe Judge told reporters on Friday that Alex Tanney will make the trip to Seattle after his move to Big Blue becomes official after all of the proper COVID-19 protocols are complete.
With Giants’ starting quarterback Daniel Jones doubtful for Sunday with a hamstring injury, the Giants have to bring another quarterback with them as a back-up if Colt McCoy does in fact get the start. In that case Tanney would be New York’s second-string quarterback for the game.
Right now the feeling I get is that Jones will likely not start or play against the Seahawks and that he will only miss this week’s game with the plan of him returning the following Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. Ultimately it may not make sense for him to start this week because out of all of their remaining games this one will be the toughest to win.
