Niko Lalos getting another shot to show he belongs.
The New York Giants ended up activating rookie linebacker Niko Lalos from their practice squad to their active roster last week and he ended up making a huge interception against the Cincinnati Bengals after coming in for Kyler Fackrell who went down with a calf injury.
Earlier in the week the Giants dropped Lalos back down to their practice squad, but that move didn’t last long.
Zack Rosenblatt of NJ Advance Media is reporting that Lalos will once again be added to the Giants’ active roster in time for tomorrow’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
With Fackrell being placed on injured reserve this week, this move isn’t a surprise with the Giants being a little thin at linebacker.
The Giants also activated quarterback Clayton Thorson to their active roster to back up Colt McCoy tomorrow if Daniel Jones doesn’t play. Alex Tanney has also officially been signed to the Giants’ practice squad.
The Giants have also placed running back Devonta Freeman on the COVID-19/reserve list. he’s still on injured reserve but was eligible to come back this week before being placed on the COVID list.
