This will be a tall task for the Giants
The New York Giants may have won their last three games, but their biggest test of the season will be on Sunday when they face off against the Seattle Seahawks.
Below are some keys to the Giants coming away with a win.
Contain Russell Wilson & D.K. Metcalf
I’m not at all worried about the Seahawks’ running game. Quarterback Russell Wilson and wide receiver D.K. Metcalf are what is going to keep New York and their defense up at night.
The Giants have to figure out a way to keep Wilson in the pocket and not let him extend plays with his feet while also bending but not breaking on the backend of their defense with the speedy and freakish Metcalf down field.
Get the “Wayne Train” going
Running back Wayne Gallman is the center-piece of the Giants’ offense and if quarterback Daniel Jones is unable to play on Sunday they will need him to really carry the load of the entire offensive unit.
I would also expect back-up running back Alfred Morris to get a healthy workload. I would imagine that New York doesn’t want to put back-up quarterback Colt McCoy in a position to have to carry the offense.
Keep things simple for Colt McCoy
The know Giants’ offensive coordinator Jason Garrett doesn’t plan on changing things much if McCoy ends up starting. But they will have to simplify things enough to not put him in a position to turn the football over. Even though he’s gotten most of the first-team snaps this week, he still has plenty of rust to knock off.
