Giants need Daniel Jones for a potential playoff run
Even though Daniel Jones wasn’t unable to start against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, there is optimism that he will be good to go for next week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals after coming close to playing against the Seahawks, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
It sounds like Jones felt good enough to play Sunday, but the Giants decided to keep him out. Head coach Joe Judge says that he’s unsure whether Jones will play next week against the Arizona Cardinals.
Colt McCoy did a solid job in Jones’ absence. But they really missed him because it was obvious that the Giants’ passing game wasn’t the same without him.
Ultimately, McCoy did a nice job of managing the game and made some great throws down the stretch once the Seahawks had to load the box and respect New York’s running game.
I would like to think the Giants can beat the Arizona Cardinals next week with McCoy if Jones isn’t ready, but their offense was completely one dimensional against the Seahawks and that’s not a long-term solution.
