Giants and Browns will face off in prime time
With the NFL taking notice of the New York Giants’ sudden surge towards the playoffs, their upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns has been flexed to Sunday Night Football on December 20th. The game was originally scheduled for 1pm but of course will now be on at 8:20pm eastern time.
With the Browns also having a very good season and in the playoff mix, this makes a lot of sense.
The Browns will be an interesting match-up for the Giants because of their strong running game with Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb. On the flip side New York’s run defense has been their greatest strength so far this season. I would imagine that they will force quarterback Baker Mayfield to beat them through the air.
Cleveland is of course in their own playoff race in the AFC North with teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens. While they trail the Steelers in the standings the Ravens have been nipping at their heels.
