Kyler Murray could be a problem for the Giants
Another week and another big game for the New York Giants. This time against the Arizona Cardinals.
Below are things to watch out for this week:
Daniel Jones/Colt McCoy
We still don’t know who will start at quarterback for the Giants this week. My feeling is that it will be Daniel Jones but of course we’ll have to wait and see.
If it’s Jones I think the Giants offense will be able to score without a problem against an average Cardinals defense. If Colt McCoy is back under center, we might see the same thing as last week with them pounding the football to set up the pass.
DeAndre Hopkins vs. James Bradberry
Cornerback James Bradberry and the Giants’ defensive secondary locked down D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett of the Seattle Seahawks last week and I think they can do the same with DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald of Arizona
Like last week I’m sure Bradberry will follow Hopkins around since he’s the Cardinals’ top receiver.
Giants’ Special Teams
New York’s special teams units have been making too many mistakes over the past two weeks. Hopefully they’ll never put themselves in a position to cost the Giants a game.
The Cardinals’ offense is very similar to the Seahawks in that they have a mobile quarterback and a top-notch receiver. But the big difference is that Kyler Murray is prone to make a lot more mistakes than Russell Wilson.
With how complex the Giants defense is, I think they will end up confusing Murray and force him to turn the football over.
Leonard Williams is playing like a man processed with now eight sacks on the season and 2.5 just last week. He is the heart and soul of the Giants’ defensive line and I can’t imagine that he won’t have another big game.
