Daniel Jones still on track for this week
So far this week New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones has been limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday as he continues to work his way back from a hamstring injury that he suffered during Big Blue’s week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Of course Jones sat out last week’s win over the Seattle Seahawks, even though he made the trip to the west coast and wanted to play.
The good news is that Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on Friday morning that Jones is expected to start this Sunday against the Cardinals.
There was a report earlier in the week that Jones is expected to play Sunday, this isn’t a surprise. But Rapoport’s report is a good sign that things have been going well this week for the second-year quarterback and he’s still on track to play this week.
The Giants could very well win with Colt McCoy under center again, but there offense can’t operate the same with him under center like they can with Jones at the helm.
