Daniel Jones is a little banged up
With the beating that New York Giants’ starting quarterback Daniel Jones took during Sunday’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals, many people were wondering whether his hamstring held up OK given the fact that he was playing with an injury to that part of his body.
During his Monday press conference, Giants’ head coach Joe Judge said that Jones didn’t aggravate his hamstring injury, but he did come out of the game a little banged up.
Judge also stated that he’s unsure how much Jones will be able to practice this week in preparation for their next game against the Cleveland Browns this coming Sunday night. He also made it clear that they didn’t expect Jones to be his normal self against the Cardinals when it comes to his mobility.
Let’s be honest, an immobile Jones is better than Colt McCoy at 100 percent despite how bad the Giants’ offense looked. A lot of their issues were the fact that the Cardinals got eight sacks because of their coverage. Judge said that some of the sacks were in fact coverage sacks and he’s absolutely right. The Giants were also unable to run the ball effectively.
