One thing is getting better for the Giants after their eighth loss
With the New York Giants on a four game winning streak prior to their home loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, their draft position for the 2021 NFL Draft kept falling. With the loss to the Cardinals they’re now back in the top-10.
Specifically the Giants have the 10th overall pick right now, according to Tankathon.com.
The Giants were recently down as far as the 19th overall pick and they could still end up their if they somehow win the NFC East. Which will be difficult to do with three games to go and a game back of the Washington Football Team who have an easier remaining schedule.
If the Giants win their three remaining games and finish at 8-8, they could still end up with a Wild Card spot due to the NFL expanding the playoffs. This would of course hurt their draft position.
Getting a high pick is nice for a struggling team, but it also doesn’t mean that the player they will draft will actually work out and help them. As we all know, nothing is guaranteed.
