This was a rough game for the Giants
Pro Football Focus‘ weekly grades for the New York Giants have been trending upwards over the past few weeks but then Big Blue ran into the Arizona Cardinals and their ratings took a major hit.
On offense, the Giants’ highest graded players for week 14 were offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler (89.2), tight end Kaden Smith (75.5), running back Wayne Gallman (72.3) and quarterback Colt McCoy (71.0).
The lowest graded players were offensive lineman Andrew Thomas (38.0), offensive lineman Matt Peart (41.8) and quarterback Daniel Jones (49.8). Thomas’ pass blocking grade was a 21.4, ouch!
Center Nicks Gates was the only offensive lineman with a good pass blocking grade of an 82.7. But his overall grade was a 55.5.
On defense, the Giants’ highest graded players were linebacker David Mayo (95.1), defensive lineman B.J. Bill (84.2) and defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson (81.6).
Cornerback Issac Yiadom had a nice game with a grade of 76.5. He’s been playing very well lately.
Safety Logan Ryan had a poor game with a grade of 55.1, which is one of the lowest grades on the defensive side of the ball for the Giants.
