Joe Judge is a Baker Mayfield fan
With the New York Giants set to face off against the Cleveland Browns this coming Sunday night, it turns out that Big Blue head coach Joe Judge is a big fan of quarterback Baker Mayfield.
“I love the [expletive] attitude he plays with,” Judge said on Wednesday. He also said that Mayfield is an “elite competitor.”
“He can play freeze tag in a phone booth and come out a winner.”
If I were to make a guess, I would say if the Browns offered Mayfield for Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones, Judge would make that move in a heart beat. Now let’s be honest, I think anyone would make that move.
Despite some ups and downs this season Mayfield’s stats aren’t bad at all with 2,785 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, 8 interceptions and a rating of 96.6. He’s also completing 62.3 percent of his passes this season. He’s actually having the best season of his career so far despite some criticism.
It will be interesting to see what plan Giants’ defensive coordinator Patrick Graham has for Mayfield after getting torn up by Kyler Murray last week.
