Colt McCoy will likely get a revenge game against the Browns on Sunday
With how New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones played last week against the Arizona Cardinals, I think it will be a surprise if he plays this Sunday night against the Cleveland Browns now that he’s not only dealing with a hamstring injury but also a sprained ankle.
The Giants listed Jones as questionable on their final injury report for the week. So he has a 50-50 chance at playing.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on Friday that Colt McCoy took most of the snaps on Friday and it looks like Jones likely won’t play against the Browns.
If McCoy does in fact play I would expect the Giants offense to be very run heavy in hopes of setting up the passing game for McCoy, like they did against the Seattle Seahawks.
It will be interesting to see how the plays are called with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett out with COVID-19 and tight ends coach Freddie Kitchens stepping in.
Whether Jones plays or not they’re in a tough spot with him being injured to McCoy under center.
