This was another bad game for the Giants
Pro Football Focus’ player grades from the New York Giants’ loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday night are now up and predictably it’s not good for Big Blue.
On the offensive side of the ball, the highest rated Giants’ player was quarterback Colt McCoy with a 69.9. Tight ends Kaden Smith (86.2) and Levine Toilolo (77.4) had higher grades but they didn’t qualify since they didn’t log the minimum snap count.
Giants’ rookie offensive lineman Shane Lemieux had a pass blocking grade of 0.0 (that’s not a typo). His overall grade was a 26.9.
On defense, rookie safety Xavier McKinney ended up with the highest grade with a 70.5.
Giants’ defensive coordinator Patrick Graham had McKinney playing all over the field.
Fellow safety Logan Ryan had a really bad night with a grade of 42.4. Rookie linebacker Carter Coughlin also had a rough game with a grade of 29.4.
The Giants’ defense got shredded up and down the field by Browns’ quarterback Baker Mayfield who had all day to throw. It was obvious that they missed cornerback James Bradberry who easily takes away half of the football field for opposing offenses.
