Giants need Daniel Jones for playoff push
After sitting out last Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns, it looks like starting quarterback Daniel Jones is on pace to start this coming Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. So far this week he’s been limited in practice and has looked good during his time on the field.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN mentioned on Wednesday that he expects Jones to start and now Dan Duggan of The Athletic is saying the same.
If Jones does in fact start against the Ravens, it will be interesting to see how much he’s able to move around given that he’s dealing with a sprained ankle as well as a hamstring injury. I would imagine that his ankle injury will be more of a nagging issue than his hamstring, which he injured four weeks ago against the Cincinnati Bengals.
If Jones isn’t able to take off and run, the Giants’ young offensive line will have some added pressure to make sure he’s able to throw out of a clean pocket because his efficiency sky-rockets when he has time to throw.
