Giants reward Logan Ryan with new deal
Merry Christmas to New York Giants’ safety Logan Ryan. The former New England Patriot and Tennessee Titan announced on Twitter on Friday morning that he has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Giants.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that Ryan’s deal is worth $31 million over three years with $20 million guaranteed.
Ryan has been huge for the Giants this season and is a veteran building block for head coach Joe Judge’s team that will hopefully help them get back to their winning ways.
Ryan was playing on a one-year deal and his performances on the field pretty much gave the Giants no choice but to bring him back after forming a dynamic duo with fellow safety Jabrill Peppers. He has 59 tackles, three forced fumbles, one interceptions and nine passes defended with two games remaining this season.
One thing though to keep in mind is that now that the Giants have re-signed Ryan, it will give them less money for bringing back both Leonard Williams and Dalvin Tomlinson. I’m not sure they will be able to keep both.
