Jason Garrett back after missing one game
New York Giants’ offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was forced to miss last Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns after testing positive for COVID-19.
Giants’ tight ends coach Freddie Kitchens ended up filling in for Garrett against the Browns and did a pretty good job calling the plays on offense.
The good news though for the Giants is that Garrett has cleared all of the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols and will travel with the team to Baltimore for tomorrow’s game against the Ravens.
This is good news for the Giants. As I mentioned above I thought Kitchens did well last week, but overall I really like how Garrett has called plays this season. Yes there have been play calls that have made me scratch my head, but for the most part he’s done very well with what he’s been given.
Not only are the Giants getting Garrett back this week, but Daniel Jones will start at quarterback after missing last week’s game with an ankle and hamstring injury. It will be interesting to see how much his injuries might limit him this week.
