Troy Aikman is obviously biased
With the Dallas Cowboys winning the past three games, they are the hottest team in the NFC East heading into week 17.
Former Cowboys’ quarterback and current FOX NFL analyst Troy Aikman made an appearance with Shan Shariff and Mike Fisher on 105.3 the Fan in Dallas and said that he believes Dallas is the best team in the division.
“I will say this. I have said it throughout the year. I do feel that the Cowboys are the best team in the division,” Aikman said. “And some would say, ‘Ok well who cares? What does that necessarily mean?’. Well what I think it means is that they could go into the post season, and they are capable. We know what they are on the offensive side of the ball, and the defense is playing better. They’re at least getting the takeaways and doing some of the things that they’ve had a hard time doing the last couple of years. And this team is capable, when they’re playing well, I think they’re capable of giving anybody a run.”
It’s fair to say that the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC East since they’ve won their last three games. But if New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones was 100 percent healthy and Alex Smith was healthy for the Washington Football Team I don’t think the Cowboys would be considered the best team right now.
Let’s be honest, at the end of the day, the NFC East as a whole is really bad and we will soon find who the best is with the division title on the line this week. I honestly think Washington is the best as long as Smith is healthy.
