Golden Tate likely won’t play this week
Friday: Here’s the Giants’ final injury report for week 17. Fullback Eli Penny won’t play this week and I would be shocked if Golden Tate plays.
Thursday: As you can see below nothing has changed when it comes to the Giants’ injury report for week 17.
Wednesday: The New York Giants have released their week 17 injury report in preparation for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Starting quarterback Daniel Jones (hamstring) and cornerback Darnay Holmes (knee) were full participants.
Jones told reporters on Wednesday that he will continue to be limited to staying in the pocket until he’s 100 percent healthy. With Jones not able to take off and run, it’s taken away another threat that the Giants’ offense has and they don’t have many this season.
Tight end Evan Engram (calf), safety Jabrill Peppers (ankle) and wide receiver Sterling Shepard (rib) were all limited.
I think Peppers, Engram and Shepard should be fine for Sunday. New York will certainly need all three players against a Cowboys’ defense that’s been playing better lately.
The two players that didn’t practice were fullback Eli Penny (illness) and wide receiver Golden Tate (calf). Right now it sounds like Tate won’t be able to play this week. Hopefully Penny will be fine after missing last week’s game.
