Xavier McKinney gets the last laugh
Right after last year’s NFL Draft, FOX Sports 1 personality Skip Bayless posted on Twitter that he was glad his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, didn’t draft former Alabama safety Xavier McKinney. Of course McKinney ended up being taken by the New York Giants in the second round.
During Sunday’s win over the Cowboys, McKinney ended up grabbing an interception that sealed the game for New York. So after the game, McKinney decided to wish Bayless a happy new year.
I’m sure McKinney had this tweet saved ever since he was drafted for a day like today to respond to Bayless. It was only a matter of time before he would be able to troll Bayless. I also love the way he kept things classy in his response.
It certainly hasn’t been an easy season for McKinney who ended up suffering a broken bone in his foot during training camp that forced him to miss most of the regular season. He did end up appearing in a total of six games, but started to get more extended playing time over the past few weeks due to injuries to other players in the secondary.
