Giants can’t blame the Eagles for missing playoffs
Over 24 hours later and the New York Giants have made it clear that they have no one to blame but themselves for only winning six games in 2020 and not making the playoffs. The only thing you can really blame the Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Doug Pederson for is disrespecting the game of football and tarnishing it’s integrity.
Giants head coach Joe Judge told reporters on Monday that he would never do what Pederson and the Eagles did against the Washington Football Team.
Per Jordan Raanan of ESPN Judge said, “We will never do that as long as I’m the head coach of the New York Giants!”
You really need to listen to everything Judge said. Check out the video below.
I believe most Giants’ fans, local New York media and the NFL media were upset about what the Eagles did because it really hurts the integrity of the game.
Philly was only down by three points on Sunday night and it was obvious that they were throwing the game after Pederson went for fourth down and declined to attempt a long field goal on the previous drive which ultimately left six points and a lead off the board for his team.
No one is saying the Giants deserved to go to the playoffs, but what if Philly was the better team than Washington on Sunday night? Washington certainly didn’t dominate the game even when quarterback Jalen Hurts was pulled for Nate Sudfeld, because the Eagles’ defense continues to play really well.
Next year’s Eagles, Giants games will certainly be tense.
