Leonard Williams had a heck of a season
With the New York Giants’ 2020 season now over, Pro Football Focus has pointed out which players on the team received the highest grades on both sides of the ball.
So on offense the two players with the highest grades were quarterback Daniel Jones with a 78.4 and wide receiver Sterling Shepard with a 79.6.
On defense, cornerback James Bradberry 79.8, defensive lineman Leonard Williams 79.8 and defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence 79.7 were the highest graded players on the Giants this season for that side of the ball.
In case you’re wondering about some other defensive grades here they are:
- S Jabrill Peppers (64.7)
- S Logan Ryan (64.1)
- LB Blake Martinez (75.9)
- DL Dalvin Tomlinson 75.2
I don’t put too much into PFF’s ratings, but they are a good barometer. One thing that’s obvious is that the Giants still need another star player or two on each side of the football. Particularly an edge rusher and wide receiver. It will be interesting to see what they do with the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
