Patrick Graham sticking around for at least another year
With the New York Jets requesting to interview New York Giants’ defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, it was looking like he might leave Big Blue after one season.
Well that’s not the case. It looks like he’s not ready to go just yet.
Graham has actually instead signed an extension with the Giants and will not leave this offseason, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.
With attention coming Graham’s way from other teams it looks like Graham wasn’t ready to leave after one season and that’s a good thing for the Giants. Plus, does anyone really want to coach the Jets with how poorly they’re run as an organization? I certainly wouldn’t want to coach them as my first head coaching job.
Now, hopefully Giants’ general manager Dave Gettleman can continue to load up on talent on the defensive side of the ball through the draft and free agency. I can’t imagine how good this unit can be if they actually had a premiere edge rusher with someone like Leonard Williams anchoring their defensive front.
