Dave Gettleman needs to get things right in 2021
During his press conference on Wednesday, New York Giants’ owner John Mara made it clear that he’s tired his team losing so many games year in and year out.
Mara did in fact confirm that Dave Gettleman will be returning as the organization’s general manager despite three bad seasons in a row.
It’s obvious though that Mara is growing impatient and that this coming season could be it for Gettleman if things don’t drastically get better.
Those are some strong words from Mara and I’m sure Gettleman knows it’s time to put up or he’ll be out of a job this time next year.
When it comes to improving their roster, Mara says the Giants will make some moves in free agency and of course add some pieces through the draft. He knows that both the offense and defense need help heading into next season. The most pressing needs of course are adding an edge rusher and wide receiver to take some pressure off of quarterback Daniel Jones and the rest of the offense.
This team has been bad for too long and after the recent moves that Gettlemaan has made, I think giving him one more year to get things back on track is fair.
