Dalvin Tomlinson’s days with the Giants could soon be over
The New York Giants have some very difficult decisions to make this coming offseason with two key defensive players in Leonard Williams and Dalvin Tomlinson set to become free agents.
While talking to the media on Monday Tomlinson made it clear that he wants to stay with the Giants.
Check out the video from SNY below where Tomlinson talked about his future:
It would be great if the Giants can somehow figure out how to keep Tomlinson, but the fact of the matter is that general manager Dave Gettleman needs to balance how much money he spends on each side of the ball. So they can’t afford to neglect the offense by re-signing both Williams and Tomlinson. Don’t forget they also just re-signed safety Logan Ryan, so it’s not like they have a lot of money to work with. I believe the Giants are only $10 million over the cap heading into the offseason.
The feeling that I get is that Williams will get a new deal and Tomlinson will sign elsewhere. And New York will likely draft Tomlinson’s replacement.
