The Giants have plenty of needs to fill
With the New York Giants’ 2021 season now over, it’s time to look forward to the 2021 NFL Draft. So I decided to use Pro Football Focus’ Mock Draft Simulator and here are my results.
Round 1 – Kwity Paye – EDGE – Michigan
I know most people want the Giants to grab one of Alabama’s wide receivers in the first round, but this draft class is so deep at wide receiver and I feel like edge rusher is a slightly bigger need for New York. So I think Kwity Paye of Michigan would be a good pick at 11.
Round 2 – Kadarius Toney – WR – Florida
After taking an edge rusher in round one, the Giants will have a chance to grab a wide receiver with first round talent in the second round. This is where Kadarius Toney of Florida comes in to play. He had a huge season in 2020 with 70 receptions for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Round 3 – Nik Bonitto – EDGE – Oklahoma
In the third round I have the Giants taking another edge rusher in Nik Bonitto of Oklahoma. I know I have New York grabbing an edge rusher in the first round, but they could use at least two and he was the best player on the board. Bonitto finished 2020 with 19 tackles and 8.5 sacks. Not bad at all.

As you can see above, PFF gave me a B+ draft grade. So these would likely be some good picks for the Giants.

We agree to disagree. The offense needs more improvement next year. I’m not say the players you picked would not help but the defense wasn’t the problem. Glaring need at WR , offensive line ( one of the worse PFF ratings in the NFL). TE and a back up RB seem more inline with there needs. Drafting defensive at the top of the draft this year will lead to drafting a QB next year if you do not help Jones next year. That will really set the Giants back. Draft again.
