Andrew Thomas went under the knife
New York Giants’ starting left tackle Andrew Thomas posted a photo on Instagram, which shows his left foot in a cast. Check it out below.

Dan Duggan of The Athletic reported that Thomas underwent surgery on his foot, which had been bothering him for most of the season.
I would imagine that Thomas will be ready to go for training camp and even offseason work outs, if they actually happen this coming offseason with the COVID-19 pandemic not showing any signs of slowing down.
Thomas looked shaky early on during his rookie season, but did an amazing job of protecting starting quarterback Daniel Jones’ blind side down the stretch.
It will be interesting to see if the Giants use one of their draft picks this offseason to add another tackle either for the right side or as insurance in case Thomas doesn’t continue to get better going forward. They of course also have Matt Peart who also played very well in 2020 as a rookie.
After using such a high pick on Thomas, I’m sure the Giants won’t look to add another left tackle in the draft. Or if they do, grab one in the mid to late rounds that can either play on the right or left side.

I think the 1st pick needs to be a recieve or tight end depending who the best available one is. 2nd pick I would draft a tackle. Who is playing Right tackle as of now? In a dream scenario trade down, no further then the 19th pick to a Quarterback needed team . If Tuckers there then take him 1st and your tackle bookends are set for a few years. To pick up a few picks or at least a 3rd round pick and land Tucker so we can help other needs seems like a smart move if the Giants can find the right trade partner.. We can all dream can’t we.
