Gregory Rousseau might be what the Giants need
With NFL mock draft after mock draft coming out now that the 2020 regular season is over, we’ve seen people having the New York Giants use the 11th overall pick on an offensive tackle, tight end, wide receiver, cornerback and I’m sure there are others I’ve missed.
Vinnie Iyer’s latest mock draft for The Sporting News has posted his latest NFL mock draft and has the Giants taking University of Miami edge rusher Gregory Rousseau. Here’s what he wrote:
The Giants are strong up the middle defensively and look much better at cornerback, but they are in desperate need of punching their old calling card on the edge under Dave Gettleman. Rousseau, who opted out of the Hurricanes season, didn’t really need to play to boost his stock after posting 15.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss in his lone significant and final season under defensive-minded head coach Manny Diaz.
I’m fine with the Giants going with the pass rusher in the first round. I know they will ultimately take the best overall player on their board, but I’m hoping that will be an edge rusher or wide receiver given that those are their two biggest needs.

They could most likely trade back and get him. They need to go offense1st, 2nd and 3rd picks
