Jason Garrett could be one and done with the Giants
Earlier in the month the Los Angeles Chargers interviewed New York Giants’ offensive coordinator Jason Garrett for their head coaching job. It looks like he has a good chance at getting the job.
During his recent podcast Breaking Big Blue, ESPN’s Jordan Raanan mentioned that Garrett’s interview with the Chargers went really well and that he is considered one of the finalists right now.
Raanan did clarify on Twitter that Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is considered the favorite for the Chargers job right now.
It doesn’t look like Garrett will be leaving the Giants this offseason with Daboll being the favorite, but of course the Chargers could change their minds and end up going with Garrett as their next head coach. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
We do know that the Giants and general manager Dave Gettleman would like to keep Garrett in order to keep things consistent for quarterback Daniel Jones when it comes to the offensive system.
