Haason Reddick would be nice for the Giants
With the New York Giants’ two biggest needs being at wide receiver and edge rusher this coming offseason, it might be smart for them to address one of those needs in free agency.
Well, Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus listed a free agent that every NFL team needs to sign and he believes the New York Giants should add Arizona Cardinals edge rusher Haason Reddick. Here’s what he wrote:
No New York Giants edge defender notched more than 20 total pressures this season. Nine edge rushers combined to generate just 81 total pressures, which is simply not enough in today’s NFL.
Haason Reddick’s career got off to a slow start, as the team decided to move him off the ball and away from what he was so good at in college — rushing the passer. Reddick had 56 total pressures this season on 412 pass-rushing snaps, 26 of which came in the last month of the season. At the minimum, he would make for a formidable situational rusher to add to a defense that is stout against the run.
Reddick did make his presence felt against the Giants when he sacked quarterback Daniel Jones five times.
What’s really interesting is that Monson believes the Dallas Cowboys should sign Giants’ defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson. That would be an interesting move if it happens. They also believe the Buffalo Bills should add Leonard Williams.
For those who want the Giants to grab wide receiver Allen Robinson, Monson believes the Detroit Lions and the New England Patriots should sign him.
