Andrew Thomas is trending in the right direction
Former New York Giants’ offensive line coach from 2004-2015 and of course helped them win two Super Bowls while working with guys like Rich Seubert, Shaun O’Hara, Chris Snee and many other great offensive lineman that have played for Big Blue.
After his time with the Giants, Flaherty spent time coaching for the San Francisco 49ers (2016), Jacksonville Jaguars (2017-18) and the Miami Dolphins in 2019. He’s now an analyst at Penn State university.
During a video session with 33rd Team, Flaherty broke down film of Giants 2020 first round pick, left tackle Andrew Thomas and he had some very encouraging things to say.
“The improvement that he made throughout the course of the year was dramatic,’ said Flaherty. “I see a player that’s going to be a real, real good player in this league for a long time at left tackle.”
I’m sure some people were ready to write off Thomas as a bust early on this season, but you have to be patient with some rookies. Not everyone is great right away. The same goes for quarterbacks like Daniel Jones.
